Milan held to draw by Sassuolo after Rabiot opener

Milan were unable to hold on to their lead as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Sassuolo in the sixth round of Serie A.

Neither side managed to break the deadlock before half-time. Both teams created opportunities as they looked to attack, but the opening 45 minutes ended goalless.

Milan eventually turned their advantage into a goal in the second half. Adrien Rabiot put the visitors ahead in the 63rd minute, finishing after an assist from Luka Modric to make it 1-0.

Sassuolo responded quickly, with Cas Odenthal equalising five minutes later. The home side took advantage of their opportunity to bring the match level at 1-1.

Both teams continued to compete for a winning goal, but neither could find a further breakthrough and the points were shared.
