Dinamo Tbilisi have signed Nigerian centre-forward Mathew Gbomadu from Estrela Amadora, with the 21-year-old agreeing a deal that runs until 30 June 2027. The left-footed striker will wear the number 17 shirt for the Georgian champions after completing his move on 22 July 2026.
Gbomadu switches to the Erovnuli Liga after a spell in Portugal with Estrela Amadora, whom he joined in February 2026 from Armenian side Ararat-Armenia. His arrival adds further depth in attack for Dinamo as they continue to compete domestically and in European qualifying rounds.
Standing at 1.81m, Gbomadu has already built up significant senior experience for his age. Across league and cup competitions, he has made more than 80 appearances, including 68 in the top flight where he has scored 11 goals and provided nine assists. He has also featured in UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying, gaining early exposure to continental football.
Before his move to Portugal, Gbomadu enjoyed a successful spell in Armenia. He won the Armenian league title in 2025-26 and lifted the Armenian Cup in 2023-24 with Ararat-Armenia, following an earlier loan period at FC Van that was made permanent at the end of the season.
Gbomadu’s transfer marks his first move into Georgian football and ties him to Dinamo Tbilisi for the 2026-27 campaign.
