Materazzi reflects on Chivu doubts and urges Inter to improve in defence

Former Inter defender Marco Materazzi has assessed the work of Nerazzurri head coach Cristian Chivu, who took charge of the club last season.

Materazzi said that many people had doubted Chivu’s ability a year ago, but also called on Inter to improve their defensive performances.

Inter have already had to recover from two-goal deficits three times at the start of the current season.

Materazzi previously spoke about the 2006 World Cup final.
