Manchester United’s winless run reaches five as pressure grows on Ruben Amorim

Manchester United’s Premier League winless run has extended to five matches after their 1-1 draw with Leeds United, leaving them 13th in the table and increasing pressure on manager Ruben Amorim.

Only Tottenham Hotspur have gone longer without a league victory. The club at the bottom of the table are yet to win this season and have now failed to secure three points in six consecutive Premier League matches.

Manchester United’s run began with a 1-0 defeat by Manchester City at Old Trafford on Matchday 3. They then drew 1-1 away to Fulham before sharing the points with Tottenham Hotspur in a 1-1 draw on Matchday 5.

A 2-2 draw at Everton followed, before the 1-1 result at Leeds United extended their sequence without a win.

Tottenham Hotspur’s poor start has been even more severe. They opened the campaign with a 3-0 defeat at Brentford and lost 2-0 at home to Newcastle United in their second match.

A goalless draw at Nottingham Forest was followed by another 0-0 draw, this time against Everton. Tottenham then lost 3-2 at home to Aston Villa, before drawing 1-1 with Manchester United on Matchday 6.
