Manchester United monitor Real Madrid duo as €150m midfield sale plan emerges

Manchester United are considering a move for two Real Madrid midfielders, Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga, as the Spanish club assesses whether to sell the French pair this summer.

The Premier League club have long been linked with both players and are now reportedly weighing up the possibility of trying to sign them together. Manchester United’s interest has been reported by Transfer News Live, citing ElNacional.

Real Madrid are understood to value Tchouameni and Camavinga at a combined fee of about €150m. According to the report, income from their potential sales would help the Madrid club complete a deal for Rodri, who currently plays for Manchester City.

Tchouameni and Camavinga are both regarded as important midfield options at Real Madrid, but the club are believed to be prepared to consider their departures if the financial conditions are met. The reports do not suggest that either player has submitted a transfer request or that an agreement has been reached with Manchester United.

Both players are thought to prefer remaining in Madrid at present. However, that position could change if Manchester United’s interest develops into a formal and concrete proposal during the summer transfer window.

Manchester United have therefore emerged as a possible destination for two players who have been associated with the club for some time. Their reported interest is significant because it concerns both Tchouameni and Camavinga rather than just one member of Real Madrid’s midfield.

The proposed €150m figure would represent the total amount Real Madrid hope to receive for the pair, rather than a confirmed offer from Manchester United. At this stage, the English club are considering whether to pursue the double deal, while Real Madrid’s plans are linked to their desire to raise funds for the signing of Rodri from Manchester City.

Tchouameni and Camavinga’s preference to stay in the Spanish capital means any transfer would depend on more than the two clubs agreeing a fee. The situation may become clearer if Manchester United make their interest official and begin direct negotiations.

For now, the reports point to an early stage in the process: Manchester United are assessing the possibility of signing both French midfielders, Real Madrid are calculating the potential financial benefit of selling them, and the players are understood to favour continuing their careers at the Santiago Bernabeu.
