Manchester United keep faith with Michael Carrick after Chelsea defeat

Michael Carrick will remain Manchester United manager despite the club’s latest setback, with Saturday’s 2-0 Premier League defeat by Chelsea failing to prompt another change in the dugout.

According to renowned football insider David Ornstein, Manchester United believe the players recognised their responsibility after the 3-0 loss to Bournemouth, when they were met by whistles from supporters. The squad is determined to put things right and wants to help Carrick keep his position.

Club chiefs are keen to avoid another managerial dismissal if possible and intend to give the English coach an opportunity to improve results. Manchester United have not yet contacted any potential successors to Carrick, as they continue to back him despite the team’s difficulties.
