Manchester United have submitted a 23-player squad for the Premier League season following the conclusion of the transfer window.
The club’s registered group includes four goalkeepers, seven defenders, six midfielders and six forwards. The list also features a number of high-profile names across the squad, including captain Bruno Fernandes, Harry Maguire, Lisandro Martinez and Marcus Rashford.
United’s goalkeeping options are Karl Darlow, Tom Heaton, Senne Lammens and Dermot Mee.
The defensive group consists of Patrick Dorgu, Diogo Dalot, Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire, Lisandro Martinez, Noussair Mazraoui and Luke Shaw.
Fernandes is joined in midfield by Carlos Baleba, Mason Mount, Andre Santos, Youri Tielemans and Manuel Ugarte.
The forwards named in the submission are Amad Diallo, Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, Marcus Rashford, Benjamin Sesko and Joshua Zirkzee.
The squad was confirmed after the transfer window closed, giving Manchester United’s Premier League group its final form for the season.
Under the current rules, players born on or after 1 January 2005 do not have to be included in the official squad list. As a result, Kobbie Mainoo and Leny Yoro are not included in the submitted 23-player group.
Their absence from the list does not prevent either player from featuring in Premier League matches. Both remain eligible to appear because they fall within the age category covered by the regulations.
The rules therefore mean the published squad does not represent every player who can play for Manchester United in the competition. While Mainoo and Yoro are not part of the 23 names submitted, they can still take to the field during the season.

The midfield selection includes Fernandes, Mount and Ugarte alongside Baleba, Andre Santos and Tielemans, while United’s defence is built around Dorgu, Dalot, de Ligt, Maguire, Martinez, Mazraoui and Shaw.
Manchester United’s Premier League campaign will therefore be supported by the 23-player submission, with Mainoo and Yoro available under the competition’s exemption for younger footballers.
