Mamelodi Sundowns and PUMA have unveiled the club’s new away kit for the 2026-27 season, with the design celebrating the South African side’s second CAF Champions League triumph.
The new strip consists of a blue shirt, white shorts and blue socks. Two stars have been placed above the club badge to mark Mamelodi Sundowns’ second African title, which the club secured in May 2026.
The launch is being supported by PUMA’s “Fueled by the Sun” campaign, a concept that reflects the club’s attacking approach and winning mentality. The sportswear company said the design was created to represent the fearless ambition and relentless intensity associated with Masandawana.
Geometric graphics across the shirt draw inspiration from the power of the sun. The pattern combines royal blue, deep navy and the club’s identifiable yellow to create a modern look for the new season.
“PUMA drew inspiration from the powerful energy that defines Mamelodi Sundowns when designing the new away kit. It is a bold expression of the Masandawana spirit and embodies the Club’s ambition and the momentum that drives every performance,” said Brett Bellinger, PUMA SA’s Marketing Director.
The kit will be available in two versions. The Authentic shirt is the same model worn by Mamelodi Sundowns players and uses PUMA’s ULTRAWEAVE fabric, which is designed to provide a lightweight feel during performance.
It also incorporates PUMA’s dryCELL and ThermoAdapt technologies, which are intended to help players remain cool and dry.
The Replica shirt, meanwhile, has been made using recycled polyester and is aimed at supporters who want to wear the club’s colours away from the pitch.
The new away shirt will go on sale officially on 13 August 2026. Supporters will be able to buy it through PUMA retail stores and PUMA.com, as well as from the Mamelodi Sundowns online store and the club’s pop-up shop.
The strip will also be stocked by JD Sports, Totalsports, Sportsmans Warehouse, Takealot and Studio 88. Pricing has been confirmed for the new kit.
The launch follows another significant milestone in Mamelodi Sundowns’ history. By claiming the CAF Champions League for a second time in May 2026, the club added another major continental honour to its record, with the two stars on the new shirt serving as a permanent reference to that achievement.
The release also continues the partnership between PUMA and Mamelodi Sundowns, with the latest design linking the club’s identity to the energy of the sun and its reputation for high-tempo attacking football.
Supporters are also being invited to take part in The South African’s Winter Reader Survey, with a chance to win R5,000.
