Franco-Senegalese right-back Ludovic Mendy has joined SO Romorantin on a free transfer from Vierzon B. The 23-year-old defender makes the switch ahead of the new National 2 Group H campaign, adding depth on the right side of Romorantin’s back line.
Mendy arrives after a spell with Vierzon’s reserve side, which he joined in 2023 following his time at Entente SSG. His move to Romorantin continues a steady rise through the French pyramid, having already featured in both National 1 Group B and National 2 across several seasons.
Comfortable at right-back, Mendy has accumulated senior minutes in the French lower divisions, including appearances in National 1 Group B and multiple National 2 groups, as well as outings at under-19 level earlier in his career. His background points to a player familiar with the physical and tactical demands of semi-professional football in France.
The defender previously came through the youth systems at Troyes and Entente SSG, progressing from under-17 to under-19 level before stepping into senior football. That pathway has seen him gain experience in different regional groups and competitions, building a base of match practice across league formats.
Mendy officially joined SO Romorantin on 24 July 2026 on a free transfer from Vierzon B.
