Luciano Spalletti says slow Juventus were punished by Lazio in 3-0 defeat

Luciano Spalletti said Juventus were too slow in both their play and their thinking after they suffered a 3-0 defeat by Lazio in Serie A.

The Juventus manager explained that he had introduced six new players, but felt his team struggled to respond quickly enough during the seventh-round match.

“Juventus” were beaten 3-0 by Lazio, with the result leaving them on 11 points after seven league matches. They are eighth in the Serie A table.

Juventus appeared to have taken the lead when striker Randal Kolo Muani found the net, but the goal was ruled out for offside in the 24th minute.

The defeat was a heavy setback for Spalletti’s side, who will look to respond when they face Lecce on 25 October.
