European clubs are monitoring Florian Wirtz’s situation at Liverpool, with manager Andoni Iraola expected to make an important decision about the Germany midfielder’s future soon.
Journalist Ekrem Konur reported the development on social media, although no further details about the clubs tracking Wirtz or the nature of the decision were provided.
Wirtz joined Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen last summer in a deal worth more than 100 million euros. The 23-year-old’s contract with the Reds runs until the end of June 2030.
The midfielder has yet to produce the performances expected of him since his move to the Merseyside club. He has made five appearances in the current Premier League season, registering one assist.
