Lisandro Martinez has returned to Manchester United training after holding talks with the club’s senior figures over his criticism of the leadership, according to The Sun.
The defender met head coach Michael Carrick, sporting director Jason Wilcox and chief executive Omar Berrada on Thursday to discuss the incident. Manchester United consider the matter closed, the report says.
Martinez criticised the club’s leadership following Manchester United’s 2-0 defeat by Atletico in the Champions League, arguing that its work in the transfer market had been unsuccessful.
The Argentina international later apologised for his comments.
Martinez has made seven appearances for Manchester United in all competitions this season and has scored one goal.
