Lionel Messi has reportedly advised Barcelona to pursue 18-year-old Mexican winger Gilberto Mora, according to journalist Ekrem Konur.

Messi, who spent much of his career with the Catalan club, is said to have recommended the Tijuana player to the Spanish champions. The Argentina forward currently plays for Inter Miami.

Barcelona would face competition for Mora’s signature, with Arsenal, Real Madrid and Liverpool also reportedly interested in the teenager.

Mora currently plays in his native Mexico for Tijuana. His contract with the club runs until the end of June 2029.
