Amadou Kone, a dual national of Cote d’Ivoire and Mali, is being linked with a move from Saudi Pro League side NEOM SC to Premier League club Leeds.
The 21-year-old defensive midfielder joined NEOM from Stade Reims in July 2025 in a deal worth €13.32m. He has since made 32 Saudi Pro League appearances, scoring twice and providing one assist.
Kone’s reported availability comes with significant contractual protection for NEOM, with his current agreement running until 30 June 2029. The midfielder’s profile has also been shaped by his time in France, where he made 40 Ligue 1 appearances for Reims and played in the Coupe de France and promotion play-offs.
A move to Leeds would represent a return to the European game for Kone after his switch to Saudi Arabia. The available information does not indicate that negotiations have reached an advanced stage, or that an agreement has been reached between the clubs or with the player.
Kone was born in Bamako and has a listed market value of €7m. He remains contracted to NEOM, where he wears the number 72 shirt and operates in defensive midfield.
