Belgian-Angolan midfielder Leandre Kuavita has joined SK Beveren on a free transfer from Standard Liege, signing a contract with the Jupiler Pro League side until 30 June 2028.
The 22-year-old central midfielder moves after Standard opted not to extend his deal, allowing Beveren to secure his services without a fee. His arrival adds a left-footed option in the centre of the pitch for the Waasland club as they shape their squad for the coming seasons.
Born in Verviers, Kuavita has built his career in Belgian football with Standard and their second team SL16 FC, while also spending time in Italy with Genoa’s youth ranks. He first joined Standard’s youth set-up from KAS Eupen in 2019 and progressed through the age groups to the senior picture.
Kuavita has already accumulated experience in Belgian professional football, featuring in both the Jupiler Pro League and the Challenger Pro League. Across league and cup competitions, he has more than 100 senior appearances to his name, contributing goals and assists in domestic league play and the Croky Cup.
His performances have seen his market value rise to around €700,000, underlining his standing as an established option at top-flight level in Belgium. Standing at 1.80m and naturally left-footed, he is primarily deployed as a central midfielder.
Having completed his move on 20 July 2026, Kuavita is now under contract at SK Beveren until the summer of 2028.
