Larin says Zenit’s Glushenkov could soon deputise for Raphinha at Barcelona

Former Chertanovo academy director Nikolai Larin has suggested that Zenit and Russia midfielder Maksim Glushenkov could soon be heading to Barcelona to cover for Raphinha.

“Soon Glushenkov will go to Barcelona to replace Raphinha,” Larin said while commenting on the midfielder’s performance for Russia in their BETBOOM friendly against Namibia.

Russia recorded a comprehensive 6-0 victory over Namibia in the match.

Valery Karpin’s side will play Nigeria in their next fixture. The game is scheduled to take place at the stadium in Nizhny Novgorod on 6 October.
