Konstantinos Venizelou: Cyprus-DR Congo centre-back signs for Krasava ENY after PAEEK exit

Cyprus-DR Congo defender Konstantinos Venizelou has joined Krasava ENY on a free transfer from PAEEK Kyrenia. The 22-year-old centre-back has agreed a deal running until 31 May 2027 with the Cyprus League club.

Venizelou makes the switch after spending the 2025-26 season with PAEEK in the Cypriot second tier, having arrived there from Ethnikos, also on a free transfer. His move marks a return to the top flight, where he previously featured in the Cyprus League and championship round earlier in his career.

Born in Nicosia and standing at 1.86m, Venizelou is a left-footed central defender whose experience already spans domestic and international youth competitions. Across his senior career he has made over 40 competitive appearances, including league matches in Cyprus and Kazakhstan, as well as outings in the UEFA Youth League.

The defender’s path has taken in spells with Omonia Nicosia and Othellos Athienou, plus a stint abroad with Zhenis on loan in the Kazakhstan Premier Liga and cup. He first broke into senior football at Omonia after time with their youth side and a period at Pescara’s under-19s.

Venizelou was part of Omonia Nicosia’s squad during a successful spell for the club, collecting a Cypriot league title in 2020-21 and a Cypriot Cup win in 2022-23. His current market value is listed at €100,000.

The move sees Venizelou leave PAEEK Kyrenia as a free agent and commit his future to Krasava ENY until the end of the 2026-27 campaign.
