Nigerian striker Kazeem Fatai has joined Romanian club Inter Ilfov, ending his stint without a team with a move that strengthens the Liga 2 side’s attacking options.
The 26-year-old centre-forward arrives as a free agent after most recently being registered without a club. His switch to Inter Ilfov is a permanent move, with the Romanian side opting to add the experienced forward to their squad ahead of the new campaign.
Fatai operates primarily through the middle as a traditional No 9, offering a focal point at the top end of the pitch. His signing gives Inter Ilfov another option in central areas as they look to increase their goal threat and deepen competition for places in the forward line.
The Nigerian’s move also underlines Inter Ilfov’s strategy of targeting players who are immediately available on the market. By recruiting a free agent at the peak age of 26, the club have brought in a player with scope to contribute over the medium term without paying a transfer fee.
Fatai’s transfer to Inter Ilfov is effective immediately, with the forward now registered to represent the Romanian club.
