Ghanaian centre-forward Joseph Ansah has joined Iraqi side Al-Jaish SC, ending a year without a club for the 31-year-old striker.
Ansah, a 1.86m right-footed attacker, has signed for the Baghdad-based club after last being on the books of Busaiteen Club, who he left in July 2025. His move to Al-Jaish SC was completed on 15 July 2026 as a free transfer following his period as a free agent.
The forward arrives with experience across several leagues in the Middle East and Asia, having previously played for Masfout Club and Al-Hala SC following a spell with Al-Nasr. Earlier in his career he featured in Lebanon with AC Tripoli and Nejmeh SC, including a short loan stint between the two clubs in 2022.
Ansah has also appeared on the continental stage, recording a goal in the AFC Cup, where he averaged a strike every 228 minutes in that competition. His track record as a central striker gives Al-Jaish SC an additional option through the middle as they shape their squad for the new campaign.
Born on 21 November 1994, Ansah brings both physical presence and a depth of regional experience to his new side after moving on a free transfer to Al-Jaish SC.
