Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew, currently without a club, has been linked with a move to AEL Limassol in the Cyprus League.
Ayew, 34, left Leicester on 1 July after one season with the club and is now being considered in connection with AEL Limassol. No transfer fee or contract details have been reported in the rumour.
The centre-forward made four appearances at the 2026 World Cup, starting all four matches and playing 84% of the available minutes, but did not score or provide an assist.
Ayew joined Leicester from Crystal Palace in August 2024 for a reported €5.9m fee. His departure followed Leicester’s relegation from the Premier League in 2024-25, the fourth top-flight relegation of his club career.
He has extensive experience in both English and French football, with 305 Premier League appearances and 159 Ligue 1 appearances. Ayew began his senior career at Marseille, where he won the French league title in 2009-10, along with three French League Cups and two French Super Cups.
He has also played for Sochaux, Lorient, Aston Villa, Swansea City and Crystal Palace. His current listed market value is €1m, while AEL Limassol would represent a move into the Cyprus League if the reported interest develops into an agreement.
