Morocco-France defensive midfielder Jalil Saadi, currently without a club, is being linked with a move to Cypriot second-tier side EN Paralimni as the 24-year-old looks to relaunch his career after leaving Ethnikos earlier this year.
Saadi became a free agent on 31 January 2026 following his departure from Ethnikos, and EN Paralimni are understood to be exploring a deal that would not involve a transfer fee, with the player’s current market valuation standing at around €100,000. The 1.91m midfielder has recent experience in Cypriot football, having featured in the top flight and domestic cup for Ethnikos.
Born in Toulouse in November 2001, Saadi came through the youth ranks at Toulouse before moving to England as a teenager to join Blackburn’s academy. He progressed through Blackburn’s under-18 and under-23 sides, making 50 appearances in Premier League 2 and gaining further experience in the U18 Premier League and FA Youth Cup.
A loan spell at Marine FC in 2023 was followed by a switch to Ethnikos, initially on loan and then on a free transfer in 2025, giving him his first sustained senior exposure. In Cyprus he amassed over 1,200 league minutes, plus further outings in the domestic cup and relegation round.
Saadi, who is right-footed and capable of operating at the base of midfield, is currently unattached and free to negotiate with interested clubs, with EN Paralimni among those assessing a potential move.
