Internazionale will face Lazio in the 2026 Italian Supercup at San Siro on 23 December 2026, with kick-off scheduled for 20:00 CET (3 AM Beijing Time).
The fixture will decide the 39th edition of the Coppa Italia Supercup trophy. Lega Serie A has officially confirmed the date, venue, kick-off time and competition regulations.
The trophy will be decided over one match. Should the score be level after 90 minutes, the teams will play two 15-minute periods of extra time. If there is still no winner, the match will be settled by a penalty shootout in line with the Laws of the Game.
Both sides will be permitted to make up to five substitutions during normal time. Those changes must be made across no more than three stoppages, with half-time excluded from that total.
If extra time is required, each team will be allowed one further substitution, taking the maximum number to six. A fourth substitution stoppage will also be permitted, in addition to the intervals between the end of regular time and the beginning of extra time, and between the two halves of extra time.
Disciplinary rules
Lega Serie A has also set out how suspensions will be carried over from the league round immediately before the Supercup and from the final itself.
A player or coach who is already on the yellow-card accumulation list and is booked in the league match preceding the Supercup will serve the resulting suspension in the league fixture after the Supercup.
The same league match will be used to serve a suspension if a player or coach is shown a red card in that preceding round or arrives at the Supercup with an outstanding suspension.
Players or coaches who are on the accumulation list before the Supercup and receive a yellow card during the match will also serve their suspension in the following league game.
Any player or coach sent off during the Supercup will likewise be suspended for the league match that follows the competition.
