Francesco Pio Esposito has signed a new contract with Inter that will keep him at the Milan club until the summer of 2032, following a breakthrough 2025-26 season for the Italy international.
The 21-year-old forward completed the agreement at Inter’s offices on Tuesday, according to Football Italia. He was seen leaving the club’s headquarters after finalising terms on the extended deal.
Esposito’s previous contract was due to expire in 2030, but Inter have now added two further years to his commitment. The new agreement also includes a significant increase in salary, described as a reward for his performances during the 2025-26 campaign.
The striker scored 10 goals and provided six assists in all competitions last season. His form also helped him establish himself in the Italy squad, marking an important step in his development at both club and international level.
Esposito has continued that progress at the start of the current season. He has already scored once and registered one assist in two Serie A appearances.
On both occasions, he was named in the starting line-up alongside Inter captain Lautaro Martinez. The pair have therefore formed the club’s starting partnership in attack during the opening two league matches.
The new contract underlines Inter’s determination to retain a forward who has become increasingly important to the team. Esposito’s previous agreement still had four years remaining, but his improved terms reflect the impact he made during the 2025-26 season and his growing role with the Italy national team.
His first two Serie A starts of the current campaign have provided an immediate continuation of that form, with a goal and an assist already attached to his name. Both performances came with Martinez in the starting XI, giving Inter a settled attacking combination at the beginning of the season.
The agreement means Esposito is now tied to Inter until the end of June 2032. It also gives the club and player a long-term framework after a season in which the Italian forward delivered double figures for goals across all competitions and contributed six assists.
Football Italia reported that the contract was completed on Tuesday after Esposito visited the club offices. The agreement follows his successful season, his progress with Italy and his early contribution in Serie A, while maintaining his place alongside Martinez in Inter’s starting attack.
