Ilaix Moriba, the Guinea and Spain midfielder at Celta de Vigo, is the subject of a reported move to Besiktas in Turkey’s Super Lig.
The 23-year-old has started the 2026-27 season with Celta, appearing in all three of their La Liga matches and playing 148 minutes. He has not scored or provided an assist in those games.
The proposed transfer has been given a 44% probability, with Moriba’s current market value listed at €15m. No fee has been established for a potential move, and the rumour does not amount to a confirmed transfer.
Moriba joined Celta on a permanent basis from RB Leipzig on 1 July 2025 in a deal valued at €6m, after previously spending the 2024-25 season at the club on loan. His return to Spain followed a period in which Leipzig sent him out on loan to Celta, Getafe and Valencia.
He began his senior career with Barcelona, making the move to Leipzig in August 2021 for €16.6m. Moriba later represented Valencia, Getafe and Celta before securing a permanent return to the Galician club.
The midfielder’s contract with Celta runs until 30 June 2029, leaving the Spanish club under no immediate pressure to sell if Besiktas pursue the move.
