Tunisian-French attacking midfielder Haykeul Chikhaoui has joined Club Africain on a free transfer from Al-Nasr SC, signing a contract with the Tunis side until June 2029.
The 29-year-old, born in Marseille and a left-footed specialist in the No.10 role, returns to the Tunisian top flight after a spell in the Gulf, where he most recently played in the UAE Pro League with Ajman Club before moving to Al-Nasr. His long-term deal underlines Club Africain’s commitment to making him a central part of their plans over the next three seasons.
Chikhaoui previously established himself in Tunisia with US Monastir, having joined them from Stade Tunisien in 2021. During his time at Monastir he helped the club to silverware, winning the Tunisian Super Cup in 2021 and gaining experience in both the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup, where he provided a series of assists in continental competition.
Before moving to North Africa and the Gulf, Chikhaoui came through the ranks in France with Sochaux, later signing for FC Porto B in 2016. He was part of the Porto B side that claimed the Portuguese second division title in 2016 and also spent time on loan at Varzim, adding further European experience to his career.
Across his club career, Chikhaoui has featured in top-flight leagues in France, Tunisia and the UAE, as well as in European and African cup competitions, building a reputation as a creative midfielder with an eye for a final pass.
His move from Al-Nasr SC to Club Africain on a free transfer is effective from 20 July 2026 and runs through to the end of the 2028-29 season.
