Sweden-Ethiopia midfielder Harun Ibrahim has joined Allsvenskan side Hacken on loan from UAE Pro League club Sharjah FC. The 23-year-old central midfielder moves back to Swedish football in a temporary deal confirmed on 17 July 2026.
Ibrahim, born in Gothenburg and standing at 1.85m, will be under contract with Hacken until 30 November 2026. The right-footed midfielder arrives with a current market value of €400,000 and adds depth in the centre of the pitch for the Gothenburg-based club as they navigate the second half of the Allsvenskan campaign.
The move brings an end, for now, to Ibrahim’s spell in the United Arab Emirates, where he has been on the books at Sharjah. During the 2025-26 season he featured in domestic cup competitions while on loan at Al-Bataeh, making appearances in both the UAE League Cup and the UAE President’s Cup before returning to Sharjah at the end of that loan in June 2026.
Ibrahim’s career has taken him from local Gothenburg football to Scandinavia and the Gulf. After emerging at Angered MBIK and Angered BK, he first made his name at GAIS before earning a transfer to Norwegian side Molde FK in 2023. He won the Norwegian Cup with Molde that year and later returned to GAIS on loan, followed by a permanent switch back to Swedish football before Sharjah secured his services in 2025.
Now Ibrahim returns to his home city’s top flight as a Hacken player, with the loan deal from Sharjah FC in place through to the end of November 2026.
