Harry Kane has won the Ballon d’Or, becoming the first Bayern player to receive football’s most prestigious individual award since 1981.
The England striker’s triumph was announced at a ceremony in London. The last Bayern player to win the trophy was Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, who was recognised 45 years ago.
Kane joined Bayern in the summer of 2023 and, at 33, has also been awarded the Gerd Muller Trophy for the best striker of the year.
Vincent Kompany’s side won every domestic trophy last season and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.
