Harry Kane says ‘Sir Harry Kane’ would feel strange after Ballon d’Or win

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane says it would be “strange” to be addressed as “Sir Harry Kane” if he were awarded a knighthood.

The 33-year-old England captain recently won the Ballon d’Or, prompting speculation in the media that he could receive the honour in the future.

Asked whether “Sir Harry Kane” sounded good, he replied: “It would sound great, but it would be strange for everyone to call me sir, so for now let’s just stick with Harry,” according to Bayern & Germany.

Kane has also won the European Golden Shoe and the Gerd Muller Trophy.

He has represented Bayern Munich since 2023.
