Morocco’s Group opponent Haiti name 26-man squad for 2026 FIFA World Cup return

Haiti have officially unveiled their 26-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup as Les Grenadiers prepare for their first appearance at the global tournament since 1974.

The Caribbean nation will compete in Group G alongside Morocco, Brazil and Scotland.

Head coach Sébastien Migné announced the squad while stressing the importance of building a balanced and united team rather than simply selecting the biggest names.

“When you enter this kind of competition – and this is my twelfth international tournament – it’s not necessarily about picking the best individual players,” Migné said.

“You have to try to put together the best possible squad so that the national team can perform well.”

The squad is led by experienced captain Johny Placide alongside key figures such as Ricardo Adé, Carlens Arcus and legendary striker Duckens Nazon, who remains Haiti’s all-time leading scorer with 44 goals.

Several new faces have also been introduced as Haiti look to strengthen the squad ahead of the tournament. Wilson Isidor and Josué Casimir recently made their international debuts, while Lenny Joseph arrives after an impressive campaign with Ferencvárosi TC.

The squad also includes attacking options Frantzdy Pierrot, Louicius Don Deedson, Derrick Etienne Jr. and Ruben Providence.

Migné admitted Haiti’s first target will be to secure their first-ever World Cup point, but insisted the team will aim higher.

“On our new roadmap, there’s qualification for the round of 32,” he said.

“I expect my lads to show generosity, to connect with one another, and to present the best possible image.”
