Goncalo Ramos back in Milan training ahead of Udinese match

Goncalo Ramos returned to full training with his Milan team-mates on Friday, improving his chances of featuring in next Sunday’s Serie A match away to Udinese.

The striker missed Thursday’s 3-0 Europa League defeat by Bournemouth after suffering a minor calf injury. However, tests carried out on Thursday did not show a lesion, allowing Ramos to take part in the team’s session the following day.

Ramos is therefore available for the trip to Udinese, although it remains uncertain whether Milan manager Ruben Amorim will select him from the start, according to Gazzetta.

Alphadjo Cisse operated as a false nine in the defeat by Bournemouth, while Francesco Camarda remained an unused substitute throughout the match. Amorim could also consider using Christian Pulisic in that role against Udinese.

Pulisic, the United States Men’s National Team captain, was also on the bench but did not play against Bournemouth on Thursday.

Milan have made an unbeaten start to their Serie A campaign, taking four wins and three draws from their opening seven matches. Their European form has been less encouraging, with two defeats in three Europa League games.
