Getafe make final offer for free agent Jadon Sancho, says president Angel Torres

Getafe president Angel Torres says the club have made a final offer to sign Jadon Sancho as they pursue a major addition to help avoid relegation.

Torres confirmed the Spanish club’s interest in the former Manchester United and Aston Villa player during an interview with Cadena Cope radio.

“It’s completely true, I’ve been working on this for four months,” he said.

“He is a free agent now. We have made him a final offer.”

Sancho, 26, is expected to have several options, with Torres acknowledging that competition for his signature could make the deal difficult for Getafe to complete.

“He is 26 years old and very talented, so this will be a bit trickier,” Torres added.

“He has played for Manchester United and Aston Villa before, so he’s not without options. I know he has offers from Qatar and other places.”

Torres said Getafe would not try to force Sancho into a decision and would instead wait for the player to determine his next move.

“We need to be patient, not to pressure him, and let him make his own decision,” he said.
