Gennaro Gattuso tells Lazio to stay grounded after record Serie A start

Lazio head coach Gennaro Gattuso has urged his players not to look too far ahead after their 2-1 victory over Parma in the eighth round of Serie A.

The result gave Lazio the best start to a Serie A season in the club’s history, but Gattuso said the team must remain calm and concentrate on the matches ahead.

“We are not quite where we belong at the top of the table,” Gattuso said.

Lazio have 22 points and sit first in the table. Inter, who have 19 points, are due to play their eighth-round match later.
