Galatasaray have lowered their valuation of Wilfried Singo and are now prepared to consider offers for the Cote d’Ivoire defender, according to Sabah. The Turkish club had previously set a €60m price for the 25-year-old, but could now approve his departure if a proposal meets their revised expectations.
Singo joined Galatasaray for about €30m, making him a significant investment for the Istanbul club. His contract also contains a €60m release clause, reflecting the high value previously placed on the defender.
However, Galatasaray’s position appears to have changed. Although the club had resisted approaches from Italian sides interested in signing Singo on loan, officials are no longer completely closing the door to a transfer. A sufficiently attractive permanent offer could now lead to the player leaving during the summer window.
Singo remains at the centre of transfer discussions as he continues his return to training on the pitch. His ability to operate in several defensive positions has maintained interest in his services, despite Galatasaray’s earlier determination to keep him.
The Cote d’Ivoire international is contracted to Galatasaray until June 2030. His current market value is estimated at €23m by Transfermarkt, considerably below the €60m release clause included in his agreement with the club.
Singo earns an annual salary of €8m in Turkey, equivalent to 5.2bn CFA francs. That financial commitment, alongside the initial transfer fee, is understood to be an important factor in Galatasaray’s assessment of any potential deal.
The club are also preparing for their opening match of the Turkish league season, when they will face Corum FK. Galatasaray will go into that fixture as strong favourites, with 1xBet pricing a home victory at 1.15. A draw is listed at 6.30, while Corum FK are priced at 11 to win.
For now, Singo remains under contract and is back involved in on-field training. But the club’s decision to reduce its demands means his future is less certain than it had appeared earlier, with Galatasaray now seemingly willing to listen if a suitable offer arrives.
