Ramy Bensebaini could be set for a move away from Borussia Dortmund during the summer transfer window, with Galatasaray S.K. reportedly among the clubs interested in the defender.
According to reports in Turkish media, the Istanbul-based side are closely following the Algerian international’s situation and are considering strengthening their options on the left side of defence.
Bensebaini, who is currently under contract with Borussia Dortmund, has experienced a more difficult period in recent weeks, with his playing time reportedly decreasing under head coach Niko Kovač.
The reduced opportunities have led to speculation about a potential departure, with a move elsewhere seen as a chance for the defender to regain regular playing time and rebuild momentum in his career.
Reports suggest that a deal could be worth in the region of €7m, although there has been no official confirmation of an approach from Galatasaray at this stage.
Despite the uncertainty at club level, Bensebaini remains part of the plans for the Algeria national football team.
He is expected to be included in the squad for the upcoming March training camp under head coach Vladimir Petković.
During the camp, Algeria are scheduled to face Guatemala national football team and Uruguay national football team in friendly matches, which will take place in Italy.
The upcoming fixtures are expected to provide Bensebaini with an opportunity to regain match sharpness and demonstrate his value to the national team.
For the 28-year-old, the period ahead could prove decisive both at club and international level.
A potential transfer to Galatasaray may offer a fresh start, while strong performances with Algeria could reinforce his status as an important figure within the national setup.
As the summer window approaches, attention is likely to remain on Bensebaini’s situation, with his future at Borussia Dortmund still uncertain.
