Uganda winger Freedom Mungudit has joined Rwandan side Mukura Victory on a free transfer from Lugazi, signing a contract until 30 June 2028.
The 20-year-old right winger moves across the border after establishing himself in the Uganda Premier League, where he has made 56 appearances, scoring five goals and providing three assists. His performances have seen his market value rise to around €225,000 at the time of the move.
Mungudit, born on 14 June 2006, has spent his senior career to date with Lugazi, remaining with the club through previous seasons before securing this switch ahead of the 2026-27 campaign. Capable of operating across the attack but primarily used on the right flank, he brings top-flight experience and significant minutes at a young age, having played more than 4,000 league minutes already.
Mukura Victory have moved to secure the Ugandan’s services on a long-term deal, confirming the transfer on 17 July 2026. The agreement keeps Mungudit at the club for the next two seasons as they look to add depth and competition in wide attacking areas.
The deal sees Mungudit leave Lugazi for the first time in his professional career and marks his first move outside Ugandan domestic football.
