Francis Amuzu, the Ghanaian-Belgian winger at Brazilian club Gremio, has been linked with a return to Anderlecht in Belgium’s Jupiler Pro League.
The 27-year-old joined Gremio from Anderlecht on 10 February 2025 in a transfer reported at €1.2m, after progressing through the Belgian club’s academy and first team. A move back to Anderlecht would therefore represent a return to the club where Amuzu established himself at senior level.
Amuzu has made 25 appearances in Brazil’s Serie A this season, scoring once and providing three assists. He has also featured in domestic and South American cup competitions, with five goals across the Copa do Brasil, Copa Sudamericana and Campeonato Gaucho.
The left winger, who prefers his right foot, helped Gremio win the Campeonato Gaucho in the 2025-26 season. He has played 40 competitive matches for the club during the current campaign, including nine appearances in the state championship.
Amuzu’s contract with Gremio expires on 31 December 2026. He is currently valued at €8m, according to the latest assessment, while Anderlecht are the club linked with a move for the player.
No transfer has been confirmed, and Amuzu remains a Gremio player under contract until the end of 2026.
