Moroccan defensive midfielder Faouzi Abdoul Mutalib has left Ittihad Tanger to become a free agent after his contract with the Botola Pro Inwi side came to an end. The 33-year-old, born in Casablanca, departs the northern club with his market value currently listed at €300,000.
Abdoul Mutalib has been a regular presence in Morocco’s top flight, making 126 league appearances and contributing eight goals and six assists during his time in the Botola Pro Inwi. Across those matches he accumulated more than 8,000 minutes of football, underlining his role as a consistent option at the base of midfield.
The midfielder first joined Ittihad Tanger in July 2019 on a free transfer from CR Bernoussi, stepping up from the Casablanca-based side after two seasons there. Before that move he had played for Olym. Sihame, also switching to Bernoussi on a free in 2017 as he built his domestic career.
As a specialist in the defensive midfield role, Abdoul Mutalib has also featured in cup competitions, scoring once and adding an assist in the Coupe du Trone over seven appearances. His performances in league and cup have helped maintain his standing in the Moroccan game into his thirties.
Following his departure from Ittihad Tanger on 22 July 2026, Abdoul Mutalib is now officially without a club and available to sign as a free agent.
