Nigeria centre-forward Ahmed Abdullahi has joined Eyupspor from Sunderland, completing a move to the Turkish Super Lig club on 4 August 2026.
The 22-year-old arrives in Turkey after leaving Premier League side Sunderland, where he was registered before the switch. Eyupspor become Abdullahi’s new club as he begins the next stage of his career in the Super Lig.
Abdullahi was born in Nasarawa State, Nigeria, on 19 June 2004. He operates primarily as a centre-forward, giving Eyupspor a recognised attacking option in the central striker role.
The transfer marks a move between two clubs competing in different divisions and countries. Sunderland play in England’s Premier League, while Eyupspor compete in Turkey’s top flight. The change also takes Abdullahi into a new football environment at an age when regular senior opportunities remain an important part of his development.
Eyupspor’s recruitment of the Nigerian forward adds another international player to their squad. Abdullahi’s listed market value is €800,000, although no transfer fee has been disclosed for the move.
The signing was recorded on 4 August, with Abdullahi’s arrival confirmed as Eyupspor’s latest addition. The club will now have the 22-year-old available in a league where he will continue his career as a centre-forward.
Abdullahi has therefore left Sunderland for Eyupspor, with the completed transfer taking him from the Premier League to the Turkish Super Lig.
