Endrick is reconsidering his future at Real Madrid after becoming frustrated by limited first-team opportunities, with representatives for the Brazil striker sounding out eight Premier League clubs about a possible move during the current transfer window.
The forward turned 20 last month and had been hoping to return to Santiago Bernabeu this summer ready to challenge for a regular starting place, following an impressive loan spell with French club Lyon last season.
However, Real Madrid’s attacking options have changed significantly in recent weeks. The Spanish club have signed Carlos Espe to strengthen their striking department and completed a deal worth more than £100m for Yan Diomande. They have also agreed a long-term contract extension with Vinicius Junior.
Those developments have left Endrick increasingly concerned that his route to regular first-team football at Real Madrid has become more difficult.
According to Teamtalk, the player and his representatives have begun assessing the next stage of his career. Working with intermediaries, they are exploring the possibility of a move elsewhere, with the Premier League considered Endrick’s preferred destination if he leaves Spain.
A move to England was one of the options Endrick seriously considered before choosing Real Madrid, and the prospect of playing in the Premier League continues to appeal to him.
Chelsea have maintained a long-standing interest in the striker and have renewed contact over a potential deal. Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Fulham have also held discussions about Endrick’s situation.
The growing list of interested clubs does not guarantee a transfer, however, with the outcome ultimately dependent on Real Madrid’s position. Endrick’s representatives have already opened talks with the Spanish club about the possible structure of his departure.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez remains one of the player’s strongest supporters and does not want to abandon the club’s project for Endrick at Santiago Bernabeu, despite the player’s increasing concerns over his playing time.
The club’s preferred solution is understood to be another loan spell, following the arrangement that took Endrick to Lyon last season. Real Madrid would want any such agreement to be made without an option to buy.
That structure could appeal to Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Fulham, who would be open to signing the Brazil international on loan.
Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea, by contrast, have indicated that they would only consider the deal seriously if it included an option to make the transfer permanent.
Negotiations involving the player, his representatives and Real Madrid are continuing. Endrick’s camp is expected to remain in talks with the club over the weekend as all sides seek an agreement that addresses both the player’s desire for regular football and Real Madrid’s wish to retain control of his development.
