Nigeria winger Elijah Odede has joined Belgian club Lommel SK from Troyes on loan, completing a move that takes the 19-year-old into the Jupiler Pro League.
The transfer was completed on 3 September 2026, with Odede moving from France’s Ligue 1 to Lommel for the 2026-27 season. His loan is scheduled to run until 30 June 2027, when he is due to return to Troyes.
Odede plays primarily on the left wing and is described as a right-footed attacking player. Born in Ogbomosho, Nigeria, he stands 1.75m tall and joined Troyes in September 2025 from Moldovan side FC Sheriff.
Troyes paid €3m for Odede when he moved from FC Sheriff, where he spent part of the 2024-25 campaign. During that season, he was part of the Sheriff side that won the Moldavian Cup.
The move to Lommel represents a change of league for Odede after his time in France. He had not made a Ligue 1 appearance for Troyes during the opening two possible league matches of the 2026-27 season before completing his switch to Belgium.
Odede’s current market value is €600,000, while his highest recorded value stands at €700,000. His move to Lommel gives him an opportunity to continue his career in Belgian football after arriving at Troyes from FC Sheriff a year earlier.
He initially joined FC Sheriff from Ikon Allah FA in February 2025, before making the €3m move to Troyes seven months later. His progression has now brought a third senior club move in less than two years.
Lommel have added a young Nigeria international-profile winger to their squad, with Odede’s role centred on the left side of attack. The Belgian club is the latest destination in a career that has taken him from Nigeria to Moldova, France and now Belgium.
Odede has joined Lommel SK on loan from Troyes until 30 June 2027.
