El Mehdi Maouhoub: Raja Casablanca Plot Ambitious Move to Re-Sign Dynamo Moscow Striker

Moroccan centre-forward El Mehdi Maouhoub is being linked with a return to Raja Casablanca from Dynamo Moscow, with the Botola Pro Inwi side exploring the possibility of bringing the 23-year-old back to his homeland.

Maouhoub only joined Dynamo last summer on a long-term deal running until 30 June 2029, moving from Raja in August 2024. The Russian Premier Liga club paid a reported fee of €1.7 million at the time, when his market value stood at €600,000, underlining the level of investment they made in the Casablanca-born forward.

Despite his status at Dynamo, Maouhoub is yet to feature in the Premier Liga this season, with no appearances recorded in the 2026/27 campaign so far. That lack of game time is understood to have alerted Raja, who are monitoring his situation as they assess centre-forward options for the new campaign. The striker’s current market value is listed at €1 million, a figure that would likely frame any negotiations.

Maouhoub enjoyed a highly successful spell at Raja before his move to Russia, helping the club to a domestic double as Moroccan champions and cup winners in the 2023/24 season. He also enhanced his reputation on the international stage by winning a bronze medal with Morocco’s Olympic team in 2024, scoring once during that tournament run.

For now, Maouhoub remains under contract at Dynamo Moscow until 2029, leaving any potential return to Raja Casablanca dependent on the Russian club’s willingness to sanction a deal for a player they secured less than two years ago.
