El Chadaille Bitshiabu, the France and DR Congo centre-back currently at Leipzig, has been linked with a move to Salzburg.
The 21-year-old has been given a 51% probability of making the switch, with both clubs listed in the Bundesliga context of the rumour. No transfer fee has been reported, although Bitshiabu’s current market value is €18m.
Bitshiabu has not made an appearance for Leipzig in the Bundesliga this season and has also yet to feature in the DFB-Pokal. The defender joined the German club from Paris St-Germain in July 2023 for a reported €15m.
At 1.96m, Bitshiabu is a left-footed centre-back who came through PSG’s academy before establishing himself at senior level. He won two French league titles with PSG in 2021-22 and 2022-23, and was part of France’s European Under-17 Championship-winning side in 2022.
The potential move would come despite Bitshiabu having almost three years remaining on his Leipzig contract. His current deal runs until 30 June 2029, while the rumour was recorded on 31 August 2026.
For now, Bitshiabu remains a Leipzig player, with Salzburg’s reported interest yet to develop into a confirmed transfer.
