Egypt midfielder Rezk Basha joins El Dakhlia from El Mahalla

Egyptian defensive midfielder Rezk Basha has joined El Dakhlia from El Mahalla, completing a move between two Egyptian clubs on 15 August 2026.

Basha, 22, arrives at El Dakhlia after one season with El Mahalla, having moved there from YC Kom Hamada in July 2025. His switch to El Dakhlia marks the latest step in a club career that has taken him through three Egyptian sides in just over a year.

The right-footed midfielder plays primarily in a defensive midfield role and will add experience in the centre of the pitch for his new club. Basha was born on 6 March 2004 and is an Egyptian national.

His move to El Mahalla followed his departure from YC Kom Hamada at the beginning of the 2025-26 campaign. After spending the 2025-26 season with El Mahalla, Basha now continues his career with El Dakhlia for the 2026-27 season.

The transfer places Basha at a club competing in Egyptian football, following his previous spell with El Mahalla in the Premier League. His arrival also gives El Dakhlia a midfielder who has already experienced a change of club during each of the past two seasons.

Basha’s career path has so far been defined by domestic moves within Egypt. He joined El Mahalla in July 2025 before switching to El Dakhlia 13 months later, with the latest transfer completed at the start of the new season.

The 22-year-old will now continue his development at El Dakhlia, where his principal position is defensive midfield. Rezk Basha’s move from El Mahalla to El Dakhlia was completed on 15 August 2026.
