Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz says the new season represents an important opportunity to demonstrate his ambitions to everyone at the club, from head coach Spalletti to the management team.
Speaking to DAZN before Juventus’ match against Parma, Luiz said he was excited by the campaign ahead and determined to show his desire to win every game. The Brazil midfielder also stressed that he was happy to be at Juventus as he looked ahead to the club’s first home match of the season.
“This season is very important for me, and I’m very excited. We’ve already won our first game, and now we have our first home match coming up. For me, this season is a chance to prove myself to everyone at the clubfrom Spalletti to the managementand to show them how much I want to win every game and who the real Douglas Luiz is. I’m very happy to be here.”
Luiz’s comments came before Juventus continued their season against Parma. The midfielder described the campaign as a significant one personally, with the opening victory already secured and the first home fixture providing the next stage of the club’s schedule.
His focus, however, was not limited to the result of the upcoming match. Luiz said he wanted to make a strong impression across the season and underline both his competitiveness and his commitment to Juventus.
