Swiss-Senegalese midfielder Djibril Sow is the subject of a reported move from Sevilla FC to Genoa, with the Serie A club linked with a transfer for the 29-year-old.
Sow joined Sevilla from Eintracht Frankfurt in August 2023 in a deal worth €10m and remains under contract with the La Liga club until 30 June 2029. A move to Genoa would take him to Italy after spells in Spain, Germany and Switzerland.
The central midfielder has made 87 La Liga appearances for Sevilla, scoring eight goals and providing six assists. In the 2026 World Cup, he has played four matches and recorded one assist.
Sow began his senior career with Borussia Monchengladbach II before moving to BSC Young Boys, where he won the Swiss championship twice. He later spent four seasons with Eintracht Frankfurt and was part of the side that won the Europa League in 2021-22.
His career record also includes 121 Bundesliga appearances, with seven goals and eight assists, while he has made 20 Champions League appearances and 25 in the Europa League.
The reported interest comes with Sow’s current market value listed at €7.5m, although no transfer fee has been confirmed. He remains a Sevilla player, with his long-term contract running through the end of June 2029.
