Dereck Kutesa linked with return to Servette from AEK Athens

Dereck Kutesa, the Switzerland and Angola international currently at AEK Athens, is the subject of a transfer rumour linking him with a return to Swiss Super League club Servette FC.

The 28-year-old left winger joined AEK from Servette on a free transfer in July 2025 and has a contract with the Greek club until 30 June 2028. The proposed move is currently assessed at 69%, with Kutesa’s market value listed at €3.5m.

Kutesa has made one appearance for AEK in the 2026-27 Greek Super League campaign, playing 18 minutes without scoring or providing an assist. He has not featured in the club’s recorded appearances in the Greek Cup, Champions League qualifying or Greek Super Cup this season.

A return to Servette would reunite Kutesa with the club where he developed before moving to Basel. He also spent the 2023-24 campaign at Servette, helping them win the Swiss Cup, before departing for Athens the following summer.

Kutesa was part of the AEK side that won the Greek championship in 2026. His previous honours also include a Swiss league title and two Swiss Cups, one of which came with Basel in 2017.

The rumour concerns a move from AEK Athens to Servette, but Kutesa remains an AEK player and is under contract in Athens for two more seasons beyond the current campaign.
