CSKA Moscow are preparing an offer for OGC Nice midfielder Hicham Boudaoui as the Russian club look to take advantage of the country’s extended transfer window.
The Russian giants have identified the Algeria international as a potential midfield addition and are considering a move for the 26-year-old, with Nice reportedly valuing him at around €12 million.
Nice remain in a strong negotiating position because Boudaoui is contracted to the Ligue 1 club until June 2027. The French side are therefore under no immediate pressure to sell and can demand a fee close to their valuation.
CSKA Moscow must now decide whether to meet Nice’s €12 million asking price if they are to bring the midfielder to Russia.
The continued availability of the Russian transfer market could work in CSKA’s favour, with clubs in the country able to conduct business after the closure of the French window.
Boudaoui has been at Nice since September 2019 and has established himself as a regular option in the club’s midfield. His performances have also earned him 36 international appearances for Algeria.
The midfielder’s current annual salary is estimated at around €290,000.
CSKA’s interest comes after Boudaoui was linked with several clubs in recent years, including Monaco, Villarreal and Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad.
Al-Ittihad appeared close to signing him in August 2026 after reportedly reaching an agreement worth around €8 million. However, the proposed transfer eventually broke down.
That failed move has left Boudaoui’s future open and could now provide CSKA with an opportunity to revive negotiations.
The Russian club would, however, need to improve on the €8 million figure previously discussed with Al-Ittihad, with Nice now reportedly seeking approximately €12 million for the Algeria international.
With Boudaoui still tied to Nice until 2027, the French club can afford to remain patient and wait for an offer that matches its expectations.
CSKA’s next move could therefore determine whether the midfielder makes the switch to Russia before the country’s transfer window closes.
