Al Nassr have named Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane in their starting XI for Thursday’s Dawri Roshn Saudi League meeting with Al Kholood, as they look to claim three points and keep up the pressure on leaders Al Hilal.
Ange Postecoglou’s side also includes Portugal forward Joao Felix and Abdullah Al-Hamdan, with Al Nassr seeking to strengthen their position near the top of the table. Al Kholood, meanwhile, will aim to take a positive result against opponents challenging for the league title.
Al Nassr begin the match in second place with 25 points from 10 games. Their record comprises eight wins, one draw and one defeat.
Al Kholood are 10th on 12 points, having recorded three victories, three draws and four losses.
The proposed Al Nassr line-up contains three changes from the team that started the previous match against Al Faisaly, which ended in a 3-1 victory for the Riyadh club.
Angelo Gabriel is expected to replace Samu Costa, while Ayman Yahya comes in for Awad Aman. Mohamed Simakan also replaces Abdulelah Al-Amri in defence.
However, those changes still need to be checked against the official squad list published by the club before the line-up can be confirmed as final.
Al Nassr’s expected starting team is:
Goalkeeper: Bento Matheus.
Defenders: Nawaf Boushal, Mohamed Simakan, Inigo Martinez and Ayman Yahya.
Midfielders: Abdullah Al-Khaibari, Angelo Gabriel, Abdullah Al-Hamdan and Joao Felix.
Forwards: Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane.
