Siramana Dembele has officially joined the Cote d’Ivoire coaching staff as assistant manager to Herve Renard, as the national team prepares to pursue further sporting targets in the competitions ahead.
Dembele will work alongside Renard on the Ivorian bench, supporting the head coach with his experience and footballing perspective. His role will include helping to guide the squad and contributing to the team’s tactical approach as Cote d’Ivoire seeks to strengthen its collective performance.
Born in Paris on 27 January 1977, Dembele has a background in professional football both as a player and as a coach. He previously played as a defensive midfielder before moving into management, where his tactical discipline and experience of the game have become central to his work.
His appointment adds another experienced figure to Renard’s staff and provides Cote d’Ivoire with a coaching partnership built around complementary qualities. The Ivorian Football Federation is relying on Dembele’s knowledge and Renard’s leadership to reinforce the national team’s development and help it compete for success in future tournaments.
Dembele’s experience as a former defensive midfielder is expected to inform the work he carries out with the players, while his coaching background will allow him to contribute beyond the technical aspects of the position. The federation views his arrival as an opportunity to combine his understanding of the game with Renard’s authority at the head of the team.
The decision reflects Cote d’Ivoire’s intention to build a stronger collective dynamic within the national set-up. By placing Dembele alongside Renard, the federation is seeking greater complementarity within the coaching structure and a clearer platform from which the squad can work towards its upcoming objectives.
For Renard, the appointment provides additional support on the touchline and within the wider preparation of the team. For Dembele, it represents a new responsibility at international level, with his tactical expertise and professional experience now being placed at the service of Cote d’Ivoire’s players.
The federation’s ambition is to use that combination to guide the national team towards the highest possible standards in the competitions to come. Dembele will therefore begin his work as part of a coaching team intended to strengthen the side’s organisation, improve its collective momentum and help Cote d’Ivoire aim for further sporting achievements.
