Club Brugge linked with Fredrikstad winger Gabriel Wesseh

Gabriel Wesseh, who holds United States and Liberian nationality, has been linked with a move from Fredrikstad FK to Belgian club Club Brugge. The 18-year-old right winger is currently playing in Norway’s Eliteserien, while Club Brugge compete in Belgium’s Jupiler Pro League.

Wesseh has made nine appearances for Fredrikstad this season, scoring two goals and providing two assists. He has played primarily as a right-sided attacker and is left-footed.

The teenager joined Fredrikstad from Atlanta Academy in July 2026, having previously been part of the Philadelphia Union Academy setup. His move to Norway came after his development in the United States youth system.

Wesseh remains under contract with Fredrikstad until 31 December 2030, meaning any potential move to Club Brugge would involve a player tied to the Norwegian club for several more seasons. His current market value is listed at €700,000.

The reported interest comes with Wesseh having made a relatively limited number of starts so far this season, but he has contributed directly to four goals in his nine league appearances. No transfer fee or agreement has been reported, and the link remains at the rumour stage.

For now, Wesseh remains a Fredrikstad player and continues to develop in the Eliteserien under a long-term contract.
